Hyperhidrosis

After trying every over-the-counter solution I could find, I finally decided that it was time to see a doctor. My appointment was last week, and although I have some comfort in knowing what my problem is, I don't feel much closer to a solution.

The doctor told me that I have Hyperhidrosis. From Wikipedia:
Hyperhidrosis (or hyperhydrosis as it's sometimes spelled) is the condition characterized by abnormally increased perspiration, in excess of that required for regulation of body temperature. Primary hyperhidrosis is estimated at around 1% of the population, afflicting men and women equally. That number, however, does not reflect the true number of cases since the condition is not always diagnosed; most patients usually disregard the excessive sweating and it never occurs to them that they might have a medical condition. It commonly has its onset in adolescence.

She prescribed Drysol which is another aluminum chloride solution. I didn't know it at the time, but it's the same active ingredient that caused the rash I had last month. I'm going to try this on a small spot on my arm before I try it under my arms. Maybe there was another cause behind the previous rash.
